One of New York City’s annual summer traditions, the New York City triathlon, made its debut as a fall event this year. Athletes and their able-bodied guides are part of an international organization called Achilles that helps people with disabilities participate in competitive sporting events. Reporter Safiyah Riddle spent time with an Achilles athlete as he trained for this year’s triathlon.
